For the past couple of weeks I had the opportunity to go home for a wonderful visit with my family & reconnect with friends. As much as I would have loved to jet off to Europe for a cultural experience sometimes you just need a vacation where you grew up. There's just something about pulling into the driveway of my parents house, even after a 17 hour cannonball drive. While I was home, I went to the lake in Alabama where I jumped off a 45' rock into the water, water skied, & relaxed. Went to my first high school reunion. So wonderful to see my classmates! Then, whenever I had a moment, I thrifted most of middle Georgia. It was a blast! I kind of felt torn to come back.

This weekend we're going to hit some of the galleries & museums. I'm excited to see what shows are going on around town. Well, gotta run get started.

Since I've gone off to college returning home is sort of an odd concept. A friend of mine mentioned how after next summer she will probably never live at home again, but for some reason I didn't think of it that way because now whenever I come home it feels like a really long vacation, but not necessarily a place where everything is comfortable. Don't get me wrong, I love my bed, various things around town, my parents, my dog, homecooking etc. but I don't feel as connected anymore hmm
